Joint Center Meets with Black Foundation Executives & CBC Members

On Thursday, March 23 — the day after the CBC’s first meeting with President Trump — the Joint Center and ABFE: A Philanthropic Partnership for Black Communities organized a breakfast for CBC Members and black foundation executives.  The meeting included Assistant Democratic Leader James Clyburn (the number three Democrat in the U.S. House), Congressional Black Caucus Chair Cedric Richmond, and many other high-ranking CBC Members.

Participants discussed innovation, economic development, workforce development, education (including HBCUs), housing, financial services, foster care, criminal justice, voting rights, health care, and other key issues in African-American communities.
