Joint Center Vice President Quoted in theGrio Article on the Inflation Reduction Act’s Impact on Black Americans

Jessica Fulton, vice president of Policy at the Joint Center, was quoted in an article by theGrio on the Inflation Reduction Act’s (IRA) impact on Black communities across the country.
Fulton shared that the IRA “provides a downpayment on many of the key priorities for Black communities,” including “improving access to affordable health care, keeping our air and water clean and safe, and beginning to narrow the gap between the rich and the poor.” Additionally, she emphasized the Joint Center’s role in advocating that the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act provide provisions to ensure that “the workforce system advances equity for Black workers.”
