Joint Center Tech Policy Director Kicks Off FIU’s AI, Innovation & Unstoppable Leadership Fly-In

Joint Center Technology Policy Director Danielle Davis, Esq., opened Florida International University’s AI, Innovation & Unstoppable Leadership Fly-In with an engaging and inspiring conversation on navigating careers in public policy and tech.

Davis shared her nontraditional journey into the field of technology policy, offering students a candid look at how persistence, purpose, and mentorship helped shape her path. She also led a deep dive into several key policy areas, including Section 230 and social media governance, AI and the law, and the challenges of advancing DEI efforts in today’s political climate.

FIU’s DC Fly-In is a three-day experiential seminar that introduces students to federal policymaking and public service careers through direct engagement with experts across government, academia, and industry.
