Joint Center President Attends National Action Network Brunch in Honor of Rev. Al Sharpton

On September 24, Joint Center President Spencer Overton attended the National Action Network’s brunch to honor Rev. Al Sharpton’s Harold Washinton CBC ALC Phoenix Award. Each year the award is given to “extraordinary individuals who, through their efforts and accomplishments, have made significant contributions to society.”

Other honorees were Dr. Calvin Mackie (pictured above), Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA), Ava Duvernay and the Exonerated Five, and Dr. Wanda Austin. See more photos from NAN’s brunch below.
