Joint Center President Pens Op-Ed on the Marginalization of African Americans in Public Higher Education
Joint Center President penned an op-ed on the marginalization of African Americans in public higher education for the National Newspaper Publishers Association.
In the op-ed, Spencer cites a Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce study, which shows that ” shows that African Americans aren’t attending selective colleges (e.g. the University of Michigan, University of South Carolina, University of Houston, and others) at the same rates as their white peers.”
