The Portland Medium Mentions Joint Center Broadband in the Black Rural South Report

The Portland Medium mentioned the Joint Center’s Affordability & Availability: Expanding Broadband in the Black Rural South report that discusses the potential for broadband to increase economic, educational, and health care opportunities in the Black Rural South.

As The Portland Medium notes, “But the challenge is real: According to the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, 34% of Black adults do not have home broadband, and 30.6% of Black households with one or more children aged 17 or younger lack high-speed home internet. Wilson, however, is bullish on Black future, driven by self-empowerment and overcoming present-day obstacles.”
