In honor of the historic celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we are again confronted with the reality of continued racial and economic inequality in our communities, the very antithesis of his messaging and legacy. Dedrick Asante-Muhammad, Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies president, authored an opinion essay which examines how the actions of the current administration are reinforcing the inequalities of the past, rather than dismantling them further causing Black regression.
