Joint Center’s Don Bell Speaks at Diversity in Advocacy Event

On July 25, 2018, the Joint Center’s Don Bell, Director of the Black Talent Initiative, participated in a panel discussion titled “Diversity in Advocacy, a Discussion to Advance the Workplace.” The conversation focused on the role of institutions and corporate leaders in advocacy and the steps necessary to build a vibrant diversity pipeline in government and government affairs. Don discussed the power of data and how it affected the push for diversity and inclusion on Capitol Hill. He also discussed his informal study of mid and senior-level staff in the wake of the release of demographic data by the Senate Democratic Caucus. =
