Joint Center Technology Policy Director Participates in Black Women’s Roundtable
Joint Center Technology Policy Director Danielle Davis was a panelist in the Power Table Talk luncheon titled “The Impact of Technology, Broadband, and Artificial Intelligence on Education, Economic Opportunity, and Voting” at the Black Woman Roundtable’s Annual Women of Power National Summit.
Davis spoke about the multiple initiatives that the Biden-Harris administration implemented to close the digital divide. She also shared information about the expected negative impact on the 5.5 million Black households if funding for the Affordable Connectivity Plan (ACP), a broadband affordability benefit program that provides eligible households with up to $30/month off internet service, is not extended. ACP funding is projected to run out at the end of April.
