Joint Center Tech Director Selected as Georgetown Visiting Fellow

Joint Center Tech Policy Director Danielle Davis, Esq., was selected as a Tech & Public Policy (TPP) Visiting Fellow at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy. The prestigious TPP Visiting Fellows Program offers a platform for experienced policy practitioners to engage with Georgetown students, sharing their expertise through lectures, discussion groups, and site visits to key organizations in Washington, DC.

Davis’s focus area for the fellowship lies at the intersection of social media, Section 230, the First Amendment, and generative AI, and their cumulative impact on Black voter participation in the U.S. Her fellowship will provide students with a unique opportunity to examine these crucial issues, learning about the influential players and policies shaping the future of technology and democracy.
