Joint Center Senior Fellow Quoted in The 19th on Importance of the BLS

Former Joint Center Senior Fellow Jessica Fulton was quoted in The 19th on the importance of the Bureau of Labor Statistics in providing timely, disaggregated data to accurately capture changes in the economy.

From the article: “‘Black workers’ unemployment rates are particularly sensitive to economy-wide changes. The national data in the monthly jobs report provides a timely opportunity to understand which workers, by race, gender, and age, are falling through the cracks nationwide, so that decision-makers can respond accordingly, hopefully before the economy crashes,’ said Jessica Fulton, a senior fellow at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, a think tank focused on Black Americans.”
