Joint Center Senate Committee Report Highlighted in Roll Call

The Joint Center report “Unrepresented: Black and Latino Leadership Among Senate Committee Top Staff,” which examines racial and ethnic diversity among Senate committee staff directors, deputy staff directors, chief counsels, general counsels, and policy directors, was highlighted in Roll Call in an article discussing the results of the Senate Democrats annual survey.

From the article: “While those numbers more closely resemble the makeup of the nation than in the past, barriers still remain on Capitol Hill, especially in the highest-paying jobs. An independent report from the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies released this June found that Black and Latino staffers remain underrepresented among top committee roles across the Senate, for example.”
