Joint Center Quoted in The New York Times on Potential Recession Impact

Former Joint Center Vice President of Policy Jessica Fulton was quoted in The New York Times regarding President Donald Trump’s tax cuts and the potential impact a recession could have on marginalized communities.

From the article: “A recession, too, would be particularly hard on lower-wage and less educated workers, who are disproportionately Black and Hispanic, said Jessica Fulton, vice president of policy at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, a research organization focused on issues affecting Black Americans. And even if a downturn is short-lived, the damage might not be. Economic research has shown that people who lose jobs in a recession, or who graduate into one, can suffer long-term career consequences.”
