Joint Center President Joined Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Opening Roundtable at 2025 Policy for the People Health Equity Summit
The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation hosted its 2025 Policy for the People Health Equity Summit. The summit provided an opportunity to discuss access and affordability in chronic disease treatment and management for Black communities, including cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.
During this opening roundtable, Joint Center President Dedrick Asante-Muhammad discussed the current state of health policy and health equity issues for Black Americans. The conversation centered policy recommendations put forth in the recent policy agenda, Forward Together: The Black Policy Playbook for an Equitable America, co-produced by the CBCF and the Joint Center.
Additional panelists included Congressional Black Caucus Foundation President & CEO Nicole Austin-Hillery and Rep. Robin Kelly (D-IL).
