Hill Diversity
Joint Center Midterm Hiring Campaign Tracker Highlighted in Roll Call
Joint Center released the midterm hiring campaign in November, which includes a microsite with interactive tracking tools that allow users to learn how each member of Congress is faring when it comes to hiring diverse top staff. The tracking tools were highlighted in Roll Call regarding the hiring market for congressional staffers post President-elect Trump election.
From the article: “Meanwhile, outside groups are keeping tabs on the hiring landscape, watching for key moves and updating their Rolodexes. The Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, a nonprofit that advocates for staff demographics that better match the country’s, recently launched a diversity tracker for top positions, which shows the Hill has a ways to go to meet that metric.”
