Joint Center Mentioned in Rolling Out Interview with CBCF President & CEO Nicole Austin-Hillery

The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. CBCF President and CEO Nicole Austin-Hillery was interviewed by Rolling Out to discuss the foundation’s mission, the Annual Legislative Conference, and the future of Black leadership. In the interview, Austin-Hillery mentioned the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies.

From the article: “A leader is only as good as their team, so you always have to recognize the team you have. I have an amazing team, and they are the reason the annual legislative conference is as successful as it is. No leader is an island unto him or herself. Our Center for Policy Analysis and Research produced a report last year called the Black Public Policy Agenda in conjunction with the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies. All leaders need to create space for one another and lean on one another.”
