Joint Center Joined National Urban League’s Fair Budget Coalition

The National Urban League formed a new alliance of civil rights leaders, economic justice advocates, and policy experts demanding for a federal budget that centers fairness, opportunity, and economic security. Additional members of the coalition include the NAACP, National Action Network, National Council of Negro Women, PolicyLink, and more.

The coalition has shared its vision for a fair and inclusive federal budget in a letter to congressional leaders and has asked to meet with key members of Congress. To bolster these efforts, the National Urban League has launched a grassroots campaign aimed at engaging local leaders and communities to advocate for a budget that aligns with the nation’s fundamental values.
