Joint Center Joined Color of Surveillance Conference
November 19, 2024
Joint Center Technology Policy Director Danielle Davis joined The Color of Surveillance: Surveillance / Resistance, the sixth conference in the “Color of Surveillance” series. Co-hosted by the Privacy Center and the Distributed Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (DAIR), this event marked the return to in-person convenings since 2019.
Centered on the theme of resistance in a world where surveillance is deeply embedded in our environments, the conference featured four plenary sessions led by leading writers, teachers, activists, and artists. Attendees engaged in thought-provoking discussions, while also exploring poetry, music, art, and opportunities for connection and reflection.
