Joint Center Attended Author Event for Dr. James R. Jones

Joint Center President Dedrick Asante-Muhammad attended an author event for Dr. James R. Jones’s new book “The Last Plantation: Racism and Resistance in the Halls of Congress,” where Dr. Jones participated in a conversation with Liz King, senior program director for Educational Equity at the Leadership Conference on Civil & Human Rights.
Dr. Jones authored the Joint Center’s first report on top staff diversity in 2015 and also referenced the 2020 Senate top staff diversity report and 2022 House staff diversity report in his new book.
