CNET utilized the Joint Center’s report, “Affordability & Availability: Expanding Broadband in the Black Rural South” report in a recent article on how Black Americans have been impacted by the digital divide.
From the article: “A 2021 study from the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies found that 38 [percent] of Black Americans lacked home internet access in the Black Rural South, compared with 23 [percent] of white Americans in the region and 22 [percent] of Black Americans nationwide.”
