Joint Center Workforce Policy Director Harin Contractor joined Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC's first webinar on telecommunications and technology. The webinar's focus was on how the future of work will affect the Asian American community. Specifically, Harin and the other participant, National Association of Counties Associate Program Director of Community & Economic Development Alejandra Montoya-Boyer, aimed to answer the questions: "How will the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) affect the presence of communities of color in certain professions?" and "What job sectors are especially vulnerable to being entirely run via digital means?" Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC Senior Counsel for Telecommunications, Technology, and Media Koustubh “K.J.” Bagchi moderated the discussion.
