Joint Center President Spencer Overton Participates in Aspen Institute Panel on Automation

Joint Center President joined Aspen Institute's panel "The Case for Action" at The Age of Automation: Policies for a Changing Economy on April 3, 2019. The panel was moderated by Lauren Weber (Reporter, The Wall Street Journal) and panelists also included Erica Groshen (Visiting Senior Scholar at the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations, Research Fellow at the Upjohn Institute for Employment Research, and Former Commissioner of the US Bureau of Labor Statistics), Mark Muro (Senior Fellow and Policy Director, Metropolitan Policy Program, Brookings Institution).

During the discussion, participants engaged in a conversation around "challenges and opportunities posed by automation’s impact on the labor market, as well as potential policy solutions for a rapidly evolving 21st century economy."
