The new Congress is currently filling hundreds of open staff positions, and we are taking several strategic steps to maximize this opportunity to increase diversity among top staff and mid-level staff.

On November 28, the Joint Center released the following statement in the wake up of Leader Pelosi's nomination to be Speaker of the House. The letter was sent to Leader Pelosi on November 8.

On November 9, the Joint Center issued the following statement in the wake of Nancy Pelosi's letter addressing diversity on the Hill. Her letter comes after the Joint Center's September 2018 report, Racial Diversity Among Top House Staff

From October 23-24, Joint Center President Spencer Overton attended his first Markle's Rework America Task Force meeting in New York City.
