Improving Training to Brighten the Future of Black Workers

The Joint Center’s fact sheet, Improving Training to Brighten the Future of Black Workers, summarizes the research that will be detailed in our forthcoming report, Evaluating African American Outcomes to Improve Workforce Training Programs.

The report urges for better analysis and disclosure of outcomes by race to ensure that training programs are effective for African Americans. Effective training programs are critical to help Black workers obtain “good jobs,” as McKinsey & Company estimates that 23 percent (4.6 million) of Black workers could face job displacement by 2030 as a result of automation.
