Joint Center Speaks at Google on the Future of Civil Rights

On Thursday, December 7, Joint Center President Spencer Overton served on a panel on “Racial Justice and Civil Rights Policy: Looking Back and Looking Forward” at the Next Gen Policy Leaders Annual Summit at Google Headquarters in Mountain View, California. African American Mayors Association Executive Director Stephanie Mash Sykes moderated the session. Other panelists included Muslim Public Affairs Council President Salam Al-Marayati, UnidosUS Senior VP Delia de la Vara, and Asian Americans Advancing Justice President John Yang.  Spencer discussed the future of work as a critical civil rights issue for communities of color.
