American Association for Marraige and Family Therapy Winter Training Insitute

The AAMFT Winter Think Tank is being held February 3-6, 2010 at the Ritz Carlton-Pentagon City.  

The aims of the conference are twofold:

• Reflect on general commitment to innovative interdisciplinary work in the areas of cultural competence and substance abuse
• To explore cutting-edge topics at the intersection of Culture, Knowledge and Power, Community Health, Social Ecology/Social Justice, Culture and Context in Marriage and Family Therapy, an d Public Interest/Public Policy.

Dr. Brian Smedley is scheduled to present on February 4th from 1-3pm.  He presentation will cover Disparities in Mental Health Services Among Ethnic Minority Communities.
