Joint Center Moderates Congressional Smart Cities Caucus Future of Work Roundtable

Today, Joint Center President Spencer Overton moderated the Smart Cities Caucus Future of Work Policy Roundtable at the Congressional Visitors Center at the U.S. Capitol. The Smart Cities Caucus, co-chaired by Congresswoman Yvette Clarke (D-NY) and Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA), provides industry stakeholders, state and local government representatives, community leaders, and entrepreneurs with the opportunity to share with Hill staffers and Members the ideas and best practices that will bring American communities into the 21st Century.

The conversation focused on best practices to develop a skilled workforce, the skills that are most attractive to employers, new careers in the Smart Cities landscape, and the roles of community colleges and Congress in workforce development.
