Joint Center Meets with FTC Chairwoman Edith Ramirez

On September 28, the Joint Center–partnering with INSIGHT America–organized a lunch with Federal Trade Commission Chairwoman Edith Ramirez.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is a bipartisan federal agency with a unique dual mission to protect consumers and promote competition. During her tenure at the FTC, Chairwoman Ramirez has focused on raising awareness about many of the fraudulent and deceptive schemes low-income and communities of color face every day (e.g., scams related to immigration benefits, credit repair, debt relief, home loans, mortgage relief, and advance fee loan offers).
